Built
and opened in 1995, SUMCO's Albuquerque facility specializes
in 200mm epitaxial wafers used to make some of the most advanced
products in the world. The end-use of Albuquerque's wafers
is mainly for state-of-the-art CMOS (complementary metal
oxide semiconductor) applications such as 32- and 64-bit
microprocessors, microcontrollers, DRAM and FLASH memory,
and ASIC integrated circuits.
